Got more waste than a standard skip can handle? A 10 yard skip is a large enclosed containers that offer the perfect solution for handling larger volumes of light-weight bulky waste.
Because a 10 yard skip is larger and taller, check:
✔️ Driveway width and overhead clearance
✔️ Ground strength (soft lawn after rain is not ideal)
✔️ Safe placement that doesn’t block footpaths
Please Note: This is not the right skip for tons of hardcore, bricks or dense soil. That can make the skip too heavy to be lifted legally. For heavy waste, use an 8 yard builders skip instead.
“Skip hire prices vary depending on several factors: Location, Rental Duration, Skip Size, Waste Type, Permits and Licenses, Delivery and Collection.”
Important rules:
Not sure if your waste is “too heavy” for a 10 yard skip? Tell us what you’re throwing out when you get a quote and we’ll point you to the right size before delivery.
Our recent 90-day bookings show the average price ranges between £330 and £430 for 10 10-yard skips. Pricing depends on your postcode, the type of waste you’re disposing of, how long you keep the skip, and whether it needs to sit on private land or on the road with a permit.
For an accurate, all-inclusive quote, use our online booking system. It only takes a minute and gives you the best price for your area.
Standard hire is up to 14 days. If you’re clearing a full property or need extra time for a staged refit, you can usually extend from around £30 per extra day. Let us know early if you’ll need longer so we can plan collection.
Not as the main load. A 10 yard skip is not designed to be filled to the top with dense, heavy materials like bricks, hardcore, concrete or solid wet soil.
Mattresses and upholstered furniture may be accepted, but they may incur a surcharge. Always check first.
A permit is legally required if you plan to place a skip on a public road, pavement, or council-owned land. As part of our service, we can handle the permit application for you.
When booking, simply select where you’d like the skip placed. The fee will be automatically added if a permit is needed.
Permit Fees:
A 7-day permit ranges from £30 to £50, while a 14-day permit costs around £95 or more.
