Home » Terms & Conditions
1. Once we’ve dropped off your skip, please don’t move it. Moving it can cause problems during collection or even damage the container.
2. Only approved items may be placed inside. Items such as fridges, freezers , tyres, TVs, monitors, batteries, asbestos, liquids, paint, gas cylinders, medical waste, food waste, artificial grass, carpet, treated wood, railway sleepers, and any hazardous waste are strictly prohibited unless otherwise agreed. Additional disposal fees will apply per item (£50–£150+VAT), plus a £60+VAT admin fee.
3. The following items are not allowed under any circumstances (unless agreed beforehand): fridges, freezers, tyres, TVs, monitors, batteries, asbestos, food/medical waste, artificial grass, carpets, fuel, solvents, paint, oils, liquids, wet waste (e.g. clay), corrugated cement roofing, man-made tiles, mattresses or any hazardous materials – including glass, plasterboard, or furniture with POPs (Persistent Organic Pollutants).
Disposal fees for restricted items range from £50–£150+VAT. If you throw in things like oils or liquids, and it damages the skip, replacement charges may go over £800+VAT.
4. Skips with plasterboard or upholstered POPs waste will be charged differently- not a flat fee. Instead, you’ll be billed by haulage and tonnage. Sorting charge will be from £250+VAT, Haulage from £150 – £250+VAT (location dependent) and tonnage charged between £120 – £220+VAT.
5. All skips are meant for general mixed waste unless otherwise agreed and paid for. This means a fair mix of recyclable and non-recyclable items. If your skip is mostly filled with unrecyclable stuff – like plastic film, burnt or contaminated waste – you’ll be charged landfill disposal fees on top.
6. Skips 6 yards and up can’t take ultra-heavy materials like soil, rubble, concrete, or stumps. Overloaded skips may be too heavy to lift and will be rejected. You’ll be charged a failed collection fee (£85–£110+VAT) and you’ll need to lighten the load before we come back.
7. You’ll need a council permit for skips on public roads. We can help you apply, but the cost is extra and non-refundable. Don’t book your skip until we confirm the permit.
8. If access is blocked or a permit is missing at the time of delivery or collection, a failed delivery charge will apply (£85–£110+VAT).
9. If you fail to comply with highway or council rules, any penalties or charges are your responsibility – plus a £250+VAT admin fee.
10. We may ask you for copies of council-issued skip permits or bay suspensions. You’re expected to keep them available.
11. It’s your responsibility to make sure any required permits stay valid throughout the hire. Permits are non-refundable once applied for.
12. If we’re delivering or collecting a skip on private land, you’re responsible for any damage to the property, the skip or our vehicles. Your drive or site must be strong enough to handle heavy trucks.
13. You’re liable for any injury or damage to your own or third-party property during the skip hire period. You also indemnify us and our partners against any claims that arise.
14. . If anything happens to the skip while it’s with you, except normal wear and tear, you’ll be charged for repair or replacement.
15. Lighting fires in or near the skip is forbidden. Fire damage will result in charges for a full replacement, which could exceed £800+VAT.
16. You agree to cover us for any claims related to injury or property damage during delivery, use or collection of your skip.
17. If your skip is placed somewhere visible to traffic or pedestrians, you’re responsible for adding lights or traffic cones, especially after dark.
18. If we believe you’re not following our terms, we may remove the skip immediately without notice or refund.
19. Cancellations within 48 hours of delivery are non-refundable. Cancelling earlier? There’s a £20+VAT admin fee.
20. Skip deliveries and collections may face delays, we can’t guarantee timings. We’re not responsible for delays caused by access, traffic or weather.
21. We’ll do our best to collect your skip on or after the agreed date, but we can’t provide exact time slots. Failed collections due to blocked access may result in a fee (£85–£110+VAT).
22. You can request an extension or change to your delivery/collection date with at least 1 working day’s notice (Mon–Fri). Fees apply: £35–£50+VAT per week depending on skip size. During busy times, changes may not be possible.
23. If we can’t collect the skip on time due to access issues or overloading, or if it stays longer than your hire period, we’ll charge £25–£50+VAT per week depending on size.
24. If your skip looks damaged or unsafe on delivery, let us know within 24 hours and include a photo by email. If we agree it’s unusable, we’ll swap it free of charge. But the skip must be empty for replacement.
25. Skips 15 yards or more need a £1000 deposit. This covers possible restricted waste fees and will be refunded once we’ve safely collected and checked the skip.
26. Keep the skip secure during your hire. You’re liable for anything that goes in it — even if someone else adds it without your knowledge.
27. Skips must not be filled over the edge. Overfilled skips may not be collected and will result in a wasted journey fee (£85-£110+VAT)
28. If you change your skip size after ordering, we can’t apply any promo or discount codes retroactively.
29. Photos on our website are examples only. The actual skip may look different, but it will hold the correct volume.
30. Wait & load includes 15–45 minutes free (depending on your location). If we have to wait longer, we’ll charge £60+VAT per extra hour – billed in full hour blocks.
